queen Butterfly

First of all there are 4 stages to the life of a butterfly

queen Egg -- queen Larva or caterpillar

queen chrysalis or pupa -- queen butterfly

the queen butterfly is considered to be a cousin of the monarch. the butterfly is very distastful to predators because the caterpillar feeds on the milkweed. the queen caterpillar difers from the monarch caterpillar by having 3 pairs of antenna instead of 2. the pupa is smaller in size then the monarchs ' too. they both seem to have a severe case of the freckles on their body and their wings. the pupa will be green or sometimes pink with gold specks.
