The giant swallowtail is one of florida's largest butterflies. It's caterpillar looks like bird poop to disguise it from predators. The larvae is commonly known as an orange dogs because they eat leaves from orange trees and other citrus trees. When disturbed the caterpillar will puff up and display his bright red scent horns. You may see them glide through the air with the greatest of ease because of their great wing span as well as grace.
