Sulphur Butterfly
First of all there are 4 stages to the life of a butterfly
Sulphur Egg -- Sulphur Larva or caterpillar
sulphur chrysalis or pupa -- Sulphur butterfly
Most Sulphurs have a summer and a winter color for the male and the female. sulphurs keep their wings closed when at rest and open them only when flying. large sulphurs fly north in the spring and south in the fall. They migrate in other words. there are roughly about 10 different kinds of sulphurs in florida. the larva or caterpillar of the orange bar can be found eatting lunch on a cassia tree. but the butterfly will be eatting dinner on a sunflower.
